A page of interesting things for, and about, our pupils.
School Council

Clifton School Council
We are the School Council.
We meet at least twice every half term. First, we discuss important issues in our classes and then take these to the main meeting.
We get involved in most decisions made in school. It is our school and we take responsibility of making sure that every child is heard. We even get included in appointing new staff!
Recent Minutes/Reports from our Meetings:
Peer Mediators

Peer Mediators
Mediators help to sort out disagreements amongst children within school. It is a very responsible job!
We had training in school and mediate during lunch times.
Our rota system allows us to be on duty (with a working partner) just twice a week.
Citizenship
We run a Citizenship programme in Year 6 which helps to ensure the smooth running of the school and to develop many key life skills. It encourages children to be responsible and reliable, to cooperate, to communicate effectively and to empathise with others. The children enjoy their jobs and value the opportunity to work with different teachers and children across the school.
Young People's Sports Forum

Our Sports Councillors
We are members of the young people's Sports Forum and we meet up with two children from Christ Church school every term to talk about what clubs we want and competitions we would like.

Hello! I am your new web site review writer and this month I am going to be writing about a fun link on our school web site. This site is all about Shrek and about his funny, enjoyful movies. I think that children in year 3, 4, 5 and 6 should visit the website because some children are interested in movies such as these. When I went to this website, I thought that it was really good for children to visit as it might encourage them to go to the cinema to watch it or to buy more DVD s and watch it at home. I would rate this website an amazing 10/10. Check out my next review in November. See Ya Soon!

For over 10 years now, they have helped 1000s of students to get better results for SATs and I think your child or your students will love this site and they will learn something from it. I would rate this site an amazing 10/10. Check out my next review in November.

Welcome back! This month I’m going to be writing about fun websites on Clifton Schools fabulous webpage. The Chronicles of Narnia is a very attractive website. It includes short clips of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, Nanny McPhee and much more. If you’re a huge fan of Narnia this website is brilliant for you! The website has been designed for everyone to watch their favourite videos and play great games followed by quizzes and drawing competitions. I’d recommend this website to children, adults and even grumpy teens! I rate this website 9/10!

Hello again! This month I’m writing about a study link called Learning Alive! It tells you a lot of facts, even gross things like facts about sewers and cockroaches and facts about rain and other things- definitely brilliant for science lovers! It even gives facts about the month! The website is arranged into lots of subjects such as: disgusting things (home to facts about different disgusting things every month!) 5 things (facts about any 5 things!)The conundrum (gives you really hard questions to answer!)This month (gives you facts about this month!) And living library which has over 4 million resources! I would give this website 7/10 because it gets quite boring looking at the same facts for a full month! But everyone would enjoy looking at the facts - and you would like showing your big brother or sister the gross ones!

Disney.com is a website all about the Walt Disney characters and films. The movies are really funny and some are quite sad, therefore, I think this website has been created for children 3-10 years. My opinion about the website is that it is really enjoyable and exciting. If children are bored and they’re getting on their parents nerves their parents can log onto the computer and fix this website up for them! This website is recommended for children in reception, YR 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. Some teenagers might enjoy it too! I would rate this website 8/10! Hear more from me next month (when I will be talking about websites in the study link!) .

Hi again! This week I’m doing a study link ands it’s very good; it’s BBC Bite Size. It’s for everyone and is separated into 3 groups: Key Stage 3, Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 1. It has activities about Maths, English and Science; you can also listen about the subject, take a quiz about it or even read it! I would say it is out of this world: it helps you learn and is lots of fun. This gets a 10/10 from me! You don’t often hear that! My favourite subject is literacy and there are great activities about it. I would recommend this to all! Check out my next review!

I would recommend this website to children in year 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Teenagers would like it too. I would rate this website 10/10! See you again in January or February.

This month I'm going to talk about a study link which most of you will know about. It's the Guinness World Records, the organisation that make records around the world; from the tallest man to the highest limousine, Guinness has everything, even the richest man! I definitely enjoyed this website but it doesn't give all the world records on its own website so it has to be a 7/10 from me. I would recommend this website to everyone! It's really useful and you will enjoy finding out about the world records set by people. Even adults will enjoy the information on the website! See my next review next year in 2010.

Pauly's Playhouse is a really interesting and playful website for kids up to 3 years and over. I think this website is really enjoyable and good for children. It tells children how to draw and write. And also helps them with their Maths and Literacy. I would recommend this website to the younger children such as the Reception, Year 1 and 2. I would rate this website 9/10. This website is a fun site and I hope you enjoy it. Hear more from me in October!

Today I'm writing about a study link called NASA. It's all about the solar system and the sun but mostly the planets. Unfortunately the writing on it is very hard so I'll recommend it to 10 year olds and over. If you like the solar system than this website is definitely for you. NASA's a space station in America so there'll be lots of stuff about how they're doing on their travels to Mars, what they found out and interesting facts. I really liked the new discoveries they made about Saturn. I'm rating this 9/10. Check out my next review in October. See ya soon!

Spellzone is a website that helps children and adults learn how to spell. Some adults are weak spellers and this is a website that helps them. I like it because adults who are struggling and can't help their children will be able to find some support. This website is recommended for adults who are weak spellers. I would rate this website 10/10!

Nickelodeon is a website all about games and shows such as SpongeBob and Madagascar. I like the show Drake and Josh because it's really funny, great for 5-10 year olds. I recommend that 7-13 year olds could also use this website because there are lots of competitions they will like. Unfortunately there's only SpongeBob for 4-6 year olds. Great fun though! I rate this website 7/10. Check out my next review in September.
