Reviewing Doctor Who!

During the Spring Term 2008, we were asked by the BBC to review a book in advance of its publication, so that the review could appear on the BBC web site.

The book 'Doctor Who – Revenge of the Judoon' was thoroughly enjoyed by the Mount Pleasant review team from Year 6, which gave it 9.5 out of 10!

Litter Poster Design Winners

Two members of the local police force visited school during the Autumn Term 2007 to inform the pupils of a new litter initiative that was being launched in the area.

Pupils were invited to enter a competition to design posters to persuade people to dispose of their litter properly.

We were pleased to find out that three of our entries were winners.

On 23 April 2008 the officers returned to award our successful applicants with certificates and prizes. These were presented in our assembly to celebrate St George's Day.
