Achievements
Activemark 2008

We are pleased to report that we have achieved Activemark for the second year at St Peter's. It is awarded for high Quality PE within school together with developing opportunities and activities in Curriculum and Extra-Curricular time. We are currently working towards to all children completing 5 hours of active sports in and outside of school.
To achieve Activemark we:
- Increased the percentage of pupils participating in at least two hours high quality PE and school sport. All pupils at St Peter's now have two hours of PE each week.
- We are working to increase the percentage of children participating in up to 5 hours sports activities a week.
- We hold an annual sports day, cross country races, compete in a variety of sporting events and offer a number of clubs, including cricket, huff 'n' puff and football.
- Pupils and staff are aware of the ten quality standards of PE.
- Complete the 'PESS' survey annually and analyse the results.
- Have leaders who train and run Huff 'n' Puff at lunchtimes.
To keep this award we need to maintain these high standards and continue to develop PE in the school.
Healthy Schools

We were delighted to achieve full Healthy School status in November 2006. St Peter's was recognised for the central focus it gives to personal and social development and the 'positive, caring, supportive climate, which enables pupils to achieve their best'.
Activemark 2007

Activemark involved a lot of work improving the standard of Physical Education at St Peter's. Areas which needed development were the provision of two hours of physical education and opportunities for more clubs in school. Working alongside the Droitwich Sports Partnership this award was achieved by St Peter's.

Basic Skills Quality Mark

One of the jobs of the Basic Skills Agency is to award their quality mark to schools that have reached a high standard of teaching and learning in literacy and numeracy.
In April 2008, we were assessed against 10 separate elements and we are delighted to announce that our school has been awarded the Basic Skills Quality Mark.
This is award is the result of a great deal of hard work by staff, children and parents and we are very proud our achievement. Well done to everybody concerned!
Celebration Assemblies
At St Peter's we also believe in rewarding the achievements of our pupils, too.
Every other Friday we have a Celebration Assembly where certificates and lovely smelling stickers are awarded to pupils for behaviour, following the school rules or outstanding pieces of work.
At the end of the assembly we sing the 'Well Done' song to all the award winners. The certificates are then displayed on the well done board in the corridor outside the hall.
During the following week the children who received an award get to wear the Child of the Week badge.
