School Governor Profile
Sarah Richards - Parent Governor
I was voted in as a Parent Governor in October 2008 and am really proud to become part of St Peter's School. The school is moving forward and at an exciting stage in its development and I am delighted to be involved in this process.
I am a qualified PE teacher but at present I am based at Chadsgrove School and Specialist Sports College in Bromsgrove as a Partnership Development Manager for School Sport. Funded by the government, we work with schools to improve the amount and quality of Physical Education and School Sport 5-19 year olds have access to. I love my job and am passionate about how PE and Sport can play a role in whole school improvement. I would like to bring this passion and knowledge, with support from the school, into my role as Governor.
My son has been at St Peter's for two years and really enjoys all aspects of school life. I feel it is important that parents take an active interest in what is going on in school and, therefore, I am keen to ensure that our voice is heard within the governing body and that pupils and parents are consulted on and involved in the running of the school.
I will give my best to the role of parent governor and I look forward to working with a wide variety of people. I hope that my knowledge of teaching and my passion for learning can bring something useful to the governing body.
