Our Work - Year 2
On this page you can enjoy some of the work done by our children in Year 2.
In Year 2, we have been thinking about length and have been ordering objects by their length. Can you spot the shortest piece of string? Can you spot a piece of string which is longer than this one?
During our Fire and Light topic, we had a visit from Samuel Peyps! We did lots of activities including writing in code and looking at picture of old London. We found out lots about Samuel Peyps and his life. Did you know, Samuel Peyps buried his cheese in the back garden to protect it during the Great Fire of London? |
Our trip during the beginning half of the Autumn term was to Hanbury Hall. Here we harvested pumpkins, weigh and measured the pumpkins and did observational drawings of them. By the end of the day we were all pumpkined out, but a fun day was had by all.
Our topic in Autumn 2 is Fire and Light. We have been looking at electricity and making electrical circuits. Miss Harwood challenged us to make a circuit to light up the light bulb.
Working well together. |
